I graduated with an undergraduate and masters degree from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (SIUE) in Music with an emphasis in Jazz Performance under teacher Professor Rick Haydon. I continue to play and tour in the region as a solo jazz artist with the Garrett Rongey Trio and St. Louis Americana band Nick Gusman & the Coyotes.
Teacher
With over ten years of instructional experience, I have taught most genres of music including rock, pop, jazz, classical ranging from beginner to advanced. I have also teach (and played) bass guitar and ukulele. I currently teach at private lessons - both in-person and virtually - in Edwardsville, IL. I also teach group lessons onsite and virtually at SIUE as a Continuing Education instructor.
